The Peninsula in Chicago

Besides the vacation and hotel itself, I think we can all agree that food is incredibly important. And aside from trying restaurants in the area, sometimes we don't always want to leave the comfort of our hotel room. Luckily, The Peninsula in Chicago had the perfect answers.

Starting with their rooftop bar/lounge, Z-Bar is the perfect place for a fun night in or if you're visiting the area and need a cool place to grab a drink and eat.

The menu has a variety of small plates like the Mini Sliders and Caesar Salad (shown in the picture). The official link is here: https://www.zbarchicago.com/menus/#cuisine

The environment is cozy, lively, and the views are amazing. It's located right above Michigan Ave with hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 2 PM to 1 AM. Sundays are 2 PM to 12 AM, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM to 12 AM (all of this is in central time).

What's cool about this place (aside from the views, food, and drinks) is that it was actually named after the hotel's first female General Manager Maria Zec.

But if you're in the mood for something more formal but still relaxed, The Lobby has great options as well! From Monday to Sunday, breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM, lunch is 11 AM to 3 PM, and dinner is served on Mondays & Tuesdays from 3 PM to 9 PM. They also offer breakfast takeout from 7:30-11:00 AM on and all-day dining takeout from 11 AM to 9:30 PM.

During our stay, we took advantage of their breakfast options. Pictured here is the Huevos Rancheros which was absolutely delicious. They have a variety of options such as your classic pancakes and waffles, something simple like oatmeal or cereal, and bigger portion combos like "The Peninsula Spa Breakfast" and/or "The Continental Breakfast."

Bottom line: I'm DEFINITELY coming back. The staff was incredible and the food was delicious. For more information about the menus, restaurants, and the hotel itself, click the link down below!
