This place was so good. SO GOOD YOU GUYS. The quality of the food was amazing and so was the service. The restaurant itself was so pretty and was decorated beautifully and I'm so excited to rave and share my experience with you guys.

Appetizers

To start, we ordered a total of four: Cold Smoked Scallops, Crispy Artichokes, Snapper Crudo, and Beef Tartare.

Not only were all the dishes delicious, but they were also very creative and aesthetic presentation-wise. The Thai Basil Aioli looks like it was painted on the side of the scallop dish and I loved how they made the artichokes look like blooming flowers and

This was my first time having artichokes so I was a little skeptical about them since I heard they could be bitter, but they actually weren't too bad! I guess I'll just have to try them six more times until I can give my official verdict.

Dinner

The really cool thing about this place is that they have a concept called "Pasta Flights." Basically, if you're unsure of what to order, they can give you two small portions of any pasta dish. Needless to say, I took advantage of this and ordered the Wagyu Beef and Black Truffle Ravioli and the Green and Black Peppercorn Rigatoni with crab meat.

It's not an exaggeration when I say that my eyes teared up. These were so. Good. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the balsamic vinegar on the ravioli added the perfect sweet and savory combo. And I'm not normally a crab person, but I'm so glad my waiter convinced me to try that rigatoni because it was perfect.

Aside from my order, we also ordered a small portion of Squid Ink Spaghetti.

I feel like Squid Ink tends to get avoid because of the color and name, but you guys it's delicious, I promise. And if you need some motivation to try it, look at the picture on the right.

Dessert

And of course, you can't finish dinner without dessert -- my favorite part of the meal. Obviously, Lyla Lila had it covered and we ended up ordering the Meyer Lemon Cheesecake and Olive Oil Cake. I was so excited to try the Olive Oil Cake since I'd never had it and had heard so many good things about it; I'm really glad that my first time was at Lyla Lila. The cake was topped with peaches, coriander, and orange blossom cream. It wasn't overly sweet and the cake was super moist and delicious.

The cheesecake was also the perfect balance of tart and sweet. A lot of times lemon desserts can be really overpowering which is why I tend to stay away from them. This was an exception and the chantilly cream and blueberries were the perfect accompaniment to the cheesecake.

If this isn't enough to convince you to go to Lyla Lila, then I don't know what will. If by chance you do need more convincing, there's their website below!
